you  desire  to  offer  $2.00  for  it,  make  your  bid  20c. 

My  terms  for  buying  are  10  per  cent. 

Auction  Sales  are  strictly  for  cash.  Parties  unknown  to  me  must  send 
a deposit  covering  at  least  25  per  cent,  of  their  bids,  otherwise  they  will  not 
be  accepted. 

My  ratings  of  the  condition  of  Coins  and  Medals,  and  the  state- 
ments made  in  my  Catalogues  as  to  their  rarity,  etc,  are  to  be  distinct- 
ly understood  as  based  on  my  personal  judgment,  formed  after  an  ex- 
perience of  twenty-seven  years  as  a dealer. 

Gradings  of  Coins  or  of  lots,  in  other  catalogues,  should  be  credit- 
ed to  those  who  compile  them,  and  their  interpretations  of  this  very 
important  factor,  should  be  valued  according  to  whatever  experience 
they  may  have  had,  the  knowledge  acquired,  and  their  integrity  of 
purpose.
